Alpha
This week the big news is that on July the 10th at 6pm we will begin an Alpha series. As you well know, some of the bigger questions that we all have are not well answered by relying on an internet search. It is also true that there are other people with the same questions that you and I have. This is where an Alpha series helps. Alpha provides a time and a place that we can come together with no pressure, no commitment, no judgement and no charge to discuss and explore the meaning and purpose of life and God.
An Alpha series runs over 11 sessions (Thursday evenings and one Saturday), with shared food and conversation exploring the big issues of life and faith, addressing questions such as “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?” It’s a chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and discuss in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say. Alpha is for everyone who is willing to have an honest conversation. No matter your background, history or beliefs, all are welcome. Although the sessions run 11 weeks you are welcome to come along even just one week to see if it’s a fit for you.
If you haven’t tried an Alpha series before then give it as go, and if you have then come again! Either way it’s great to also bring a friend!
God Bless you

In 1990, and with the inclusion of the Diocese of Polynesia, the Anglican Church formed a new constitution, Te Pouhere, that would bind us together as one church in Christ, yet living in Three Tikanga or cultural streams.
