Connection

Henri Nouwen once wrote “Community is the place where the person you least want to live with always lives” . The challenge to us is to be a community of devotion, a people of presence, a family shaped by grace, a body we are part of, and a mission we engage in.

The early church embodied connection, grace and abundance, sharing life, meals and stories with people far from God. This is the kind of community many ache for today – where belonging isn’t earned, it’s extended; people are contributors not consumers; and meals become moments of ministry. The world is hungry for good news, and God is still opening doors for the gospel to move round tables, in conversations, and through relationships.

If we want to see lives transformed today, we need to choose to spend time with those who don’t know Jesus and intentionally create spaces for conversation, belonging and genuine connection. By doing this we’re not only welcoming people to the table - we’re inviting them into the very presence of God.

So don’t just believe the message of the gospel – live it, and carry it. Go now to love and serve the Lord. Korōria ki te Atua
