From the Wardens - A Very Warm Welcome
A very warm welcome to you all as we begin to get the year underway properly!
We would like to thank all those who so generously donated to the Christchurch City Mission’s Back to School programme last month. We sent the Mission $500 from that retiring collection. Here’s an excerpt from the letter we received from Corinne Haines, the City Missioner:
“Education is essential for our children, and we are grateful for your commitment to being part of our aim to assist parents in preparing their children for their return to school. You are directly supporting parents and families who have simply run out of options and who desperately wish to give their child the best possible start for their educations - thank you! Your benevolence and kindness when families need us us, ensures each child will walk into their classroom looking and feeling the same as their peers, ready to gain the life-changing benefits education can provide. This is something we cannot put a price on. Together, we will ensure no child is left behind.”

Salt of the Earth
This Sunday is one to remember and reflect on the humiliating and agonising way Jesus died for us all
Quite simply - will we choose to accept and embrace the radical love of God or not.
To be righteous is to be generous in both giving and lending. The righteous are those who are generous and conduct their business fairly.
